Darren Middleton - Convener

The Church and Nation Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria exists to serve the General Assembly by providing information and guidance to both the Church and Nation. By Church we mean the PCV as our primary focus and then the wider church in general. By Nation, we mean the governing bodies in particular and then the electorate at large.

The Committee comes to such issues predicated on a high view of the Bible and of our Reformed heritage and a belief that Christianity ought to be a clear voice in the public square, for the common good. The members of the Committee are Darren Middleton (Convener), Fleur Letcher (Researcher), Daniel Combridge (Secretary), Ben Palmer (Treasurer)  and John Ballantyne.

YourCaN - Church and Nation Committe of the PCV

yourCan is the Church and Nation Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria

Presenting the truth of God with clarity and humility.

Promoting christian ethics and in particular family values as defined in the Bible, as the necessary foundation for a stable society.

Persuading the Church and Nation of the wisdom and benefits of the biblical teachings for the common good. Moreover, we will remind the Church to pray for the civil rulers to promote good and suppress evil, as we seek to articulate and present biblical teaching on moral matters, urging and praying they be maintained or adopted for the good of our nation.
